My hair is just as you described....I wash it at night, sleep on it which kind of takes some of the waves out. Then I put Paul Mitchell Wax Works in it, then Paul Mitchell Shine Drops...then use a professional cermaic straightening iron to make it shiny and soft.......the iron will run you about $100 for a good one.

I have the same problem with my hair and I've found that a good hair straightener and lots of hairspray work very well.

The best thing to do to try and obtain straight sleek hair is to put a good product in it like you did, then blow dry it, then go over it with a flat iron (straightener) It's gonna take time and patience because to assure all your hair gets dry and semi-straightened with the blow dryer, ya gotta do it in sections. Then with the straightener ya gotta do it in smaller sections to assure all of your hair gets straight.

Start from using good shampoo and conditioner. Try Nexxus conditioner and detangler.

then use chi straightener and use gloss by Frederick Fekkai after all.

works for me.

Just remember, there is no cheap quick fix for that, i tried

make sure you got a hot enough straightner like mine goes up to 400 degrees. Also greese helps smooth it out and also you could get a relaxer if you dont have one it makes it easier to straighten your hair.

hmmm....

if you live where it is humid, your hair is VERY curly, or THICK...then sorry but it might not work.

But before you give up...

make sure your using a GOOD brand straightener, and make sure it HOTT...maybe hotter then normal for your hair.

Take small sections at a time:

1. divide your hair into top layer and bottom layer

2. Straighten the bottom layer first (about 10 SMALL!!! sections)

3. Then do the top in 2 main sections then a few subsections w/in that

4. If it still doesn't stay i sometimes spray hairspray LIGHTLY on all my hair, brush it out and THEN straighten it.((((not quite sure why or how that works,,, but it does :P))))

The WIGO brand of straighteners is good :)

GOODLUCK!!

i have the same problem. i use garnier fructis smoothing milk [i think thats what its called] and when i straighten my hair, it takes a LONG time because my hair is really thick and curly. so what i do is i take a part of the side of my hair and clip up the rest. then straighten that little part. then grab another piece of hair nd straighten that, and keep doing that for all your hair. hope tht helps.
