I bought some hair extensions and when i put my hair back there is this big fat bit coming out of the bobble were it is my real hair and then strands of the extensions coming down. How can i stop this happening?

I don't know if you can make it go down, but you can bring your hair to the same level by teasing the hair closets to your head around the clip.
To tease hold you hair and on the bottom portion use a comb and comb towards you head continuously. It will get all ratty and add volume to your hair. It will make the clips less noticable.
