Burn from hair striaghtener?

I was straightening my hair and my shirt was up a little bit and all the sudden I didn't even notice that the tip of my straightener was on my stomach. All the sudden I felt this intense pain and now it looks horrible! I've had small burns here and there from hair irons but never this big..I put some ice and aloe vera on it.. Do you think it will leave a big scar? I'm really hoping not.

Any suggestions on how I should care for it?

Keep it covered for sure with a breathable bandage. ANd get some sort of burn ointment. Does it have blisters? If so , this is a 2nd degree burn. If just really red, A first degree. If you keep it covered and do not irritate it, I don't think it will scar.My mother was taking sausage out of the oven once and got the juice all over her, it was a second degree burn bad, borderline 3rd and it didn't really scar up.

It is best if you see your doctor so it can be treated and leave a little scar if any.

Got to the doctor and get some silvadine so it won't scar

nothing to worry about..just a flesh burn.. put some petroleum jelly or burnt oitment... next time plez be careful....
