HUGE hair trouble?

i have no idea why, but everytime i blow dry or use my wet2dry straighteners on my hair it poofs up big time n i end up looking like i hav a afro! lol. highly amusing, and normally no problem as i wear my hair up, but i have a date tuesday night and really wana wear it down. any ideas how i can take some of the volume away, without making it heavy, dull and lifeless?

HUGE hair trouble?

Let's see...Okay

1)Brush hair (don'tforget, befor shampooing)

2)Rinse w/ warm water

3)Shampoo with the smooth intense shampoo for thick hair

4)Condition with the conditioner from the same line

5)Use a frizzease serum after towel drying

6)Use an infinity dryer from conair (you pick)

7)Put in a secure bun while doing your makeup

8)Take it out about 15 minutes before you go

9) If there are some frizzies, then use an iron on it

10)Use a hair spray from frizzease (i think they have one) and tada! Gorgeous, slightly wavy, not an afro hair!

P.S.- try it out on a weekend, so you know how your hair will react to all of this.

frizz ease works best for mee

good luck

DON'T DON'T DON'T EVER STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR WHILE WET PLEASE!!! Even though it says wet 2 straight don't straighten it. If you straighten your hair it will end up dry, frizzy unmanagable with split ends in the future, straighten while it's completely dry only!

HUGE hair trouble?

i have the same problulm and the same straighter i go to bed with wet hair. let it dry then in the morning straiten it

DO NOT BLOW DRY it makes your hair HUGE

also dont use the straighter while your hair is wet it will distroy your hair. and it takes WAY longer

HUGE hair trouble?

blow it dry straight, apply a CREAM product(weighs hair down), straighten it in inch wide pieces, also in sections, and when done, apply some more product.

HUGE hair trouble?

You should try using some straightening cream or spray along with your straightner!![[=

my frend has the same problem, she use a whole bunch of frizz ease, and then stragins it, i use frizz cream,or even hand cram works good!

----good luck----

HUGE hair trouble?

okay, when your hair is towel dried I would add straightening balm (or any type of gel) to the tips but not the roots, add a palmfull of mouse to your roots then blowdry your hair with your head upsidedown until it is almost dry. Now flip your head back up and comb it out witha wide toothed comb, use a straightener now if nec. and for extra body rat the underside near the roots out and comb over the ratted out part.

hope this helps.. :)

Good luck on your date

HUGE hair trouble?

dont use a wet 2 dye straighter. they are known for the frizzy.

get a chi!

HUGE hair trouble?

USE PANTENE PRO-V NEW ONE FOR FRIZZY DULL HAIR ...IT LEAVES IT FRIZZ-LESS AFFRO-LESS ....ITS SOFT AND CURVY...THEN STRAIGHTED IT OUT WITH A CURLING IRON AND A BLOW DRYER. USE A ANTI -FRIZZ PRODUCT BY FALTON @ WALMART FOR 4 TO 6 BUCKS.good luck hope you find what you need

HUGE hair trouble?

I have a terrible hair problem like you, so what i do if i want to wear it down is wash it, and then when its done i apply humidity defying gel (I use herbal essences) and if I really want it to stay, I'll put mousse on it too. Then I dry it straight, and its really poofy. After you dry it, give it about five or ten minutes, and then start straightening. Be really picky, go little bit by little bit, and it should be okay. DONT ever straighten your hair while its wet, it will not work. What I described right now usually works for me, so I hope it works for you too. Good luck on your date! :-)

frizz ease or infusium are good products to use. in addition, try not to straighten your hair while it's still wet. that makes it frizz more.

If you ever want to try your hair curly, use la looks hair gel and just rub it on [wet] hair. that way, it'll be curly, something new, but not frizzy.

HUGE hair trouble?

get your hair professionally straightened...I did and I love ot...shinny frizz free all the time! I dont have to do anything..it looks great when I wake up.

I had the same problem. I had my hair permed and when i wash it, i use garnier frutics sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner. Then when i need to straighten it i get the sleek and shine frizz serum(its in the little round bottle) and run it through my hair. It helps soften your hair while u blow dry it so it doesn't frizz up. Then i straighten it when it is completely dry. Your hair will stay straight even on rainy days. Unless u get it wet, it should stay straight if its humid. And if u can,try to wrap your hair around your head and put a scarf on it when u sleep and u wont have to spend an hour straightening it the next day. It works like magic. I know it sounds like an infomercial, but it is true. Just go to the garnier webbie and check it out. I will be really surprised if it didn't work.

HUGE hair trouble?

Wet to dry straighters are REALLY bad for ur hair dry ur hair first and straighten it the next day also run the hair dryer over ur hair` wit cold air because when u go outside wit the hair still warm it just frizzes again, and remember to use a protecting lotion lke the ghd one.... oh and have fun on ur date either way u'll be beautiful if u be urself!!

HUGE hair trouble?

if your hair is really curly...

NEVER EVER BLOW DRY IT...

my hair is curly beyond beleif and it is the worst thing you can do....

trust me!!

HUGE hair trouble?

u could try naturally drying your hair and every so often brushing it into shape while its geting dry or set the hair dryer onto cold blow, have u thought it might need thining out at the hairdressers.
