Tameing very thick,curly hair.?

I have really thick frizzy curly hair.

Ive tried bazillions of hair products and nothing really seems to work.

I have layered hair but its made my thickness problem worse.

I never brush my hair ,Its just a big poof ball xD

if any of you have any helpful ideas they'd be greatly appreciated =]

Heya!! ;)

I used to have the problem, so the first step is to know that you're not alone. :D

I layered my hair - too, because my aunt suggested that it would help. It didn't. It made it worse and my head looked like some frizzy fur ball lol.

Another aunt recommended me a "long curly hair" serum and it worked really well! I think any kind of gel works though, just put a little of it (3 - 9 drops depending on how much hair) on your palm and rub it onto your hair. Then use both hands to push your hair together as if creating your curls to get them to stay together - so your hair won't look so frizzy. :)

I also condition my hair everyday, wash with shampoo every other. It kind of helps. :) Use COLD water to rinse off the conditioner. It helps get more shine out of your hair. :D

And yes - you shouldn't brush your hair. Using your finger is less damaging to it, or use a big comb. :D That usually does the trick. ;) (Especially since you have curly, frizzy hair - if you brush it it'll just get worst and will look more dry!! Also, brushing wet hair and or dry can make it more vulnerable to split ends.... !!)

P.S If you want to blow-dry your hair, put it on "cold" because hot air tends to take away the moisture from your scalp! :)

P.SS Believe me, I've tried egg and olive oil and those are really gross. Hard to get out of your hair. Just use special shampoos and conditioners for dry hair!

P.SSS Good luck! But remember - patience is key ;) Your frizz won't just disappear over night. :P It takes a little time. :)

P.SSSS Don't use too much heat for your hair like straightening it with a flat iron! The look will only be temporary, it will disappear and make your hair drier after you wash it. If you want to get it straight through flat ironing, you better be prepared to do it most if not all of the time after the shower or in the morning, when you wake up.

P.SSSSS Drink/ eat lots of calcium and drink a lot of mineral water!! It helps, don't worry or give up if you forget though. :) It's never too late. Also, eat lots of oranges :D (Vitamin E) :P

P.SSSSSS If possible, let your hair dry naturally. It's the best solution for curly hair!

use a curly hair shampoo and conditioner thats a good brand. when you get out of the shower dont towel dry your hair at all, just come it through and ring it out a little bit with your fingers, it should be really wet. then take a silicone serum and comb it through all your hair. then flip your head upside down and using a curl crunching product (one that will make the curls stiffer, and hold better) scrunch your curls with the product in your hands while your head is upside down. after that, dont comb it out and just leave it air dry while its down. :)
