Ok well i'm getting a hair cut this weekend.

I need some help deciding what i should do..?

- I have thick %26amp; curly hair.

- And i straighten it sometimes.

- And it can get poofy and frizzy if i dont put enough products in it.

- its kinda layered, but not really? lol..

* I dont want any short cuts - i've had that done before and it..... didnt work out =\

* My hair gets like all big on the bottom whenever i straighten it.. why?? Do i need layers or something?

if it gets big at the bottom get more layers have them thin your hair some, but nott too much or your curls will look stringy

you should get it layered and then get a straight perm and by some frizz control stuff :]

Seriously your best bet is asking the person who cuts your hair and if you don't trust her, then I would go and ask around at different salons, without actually seeing your hair people can't give you a very good idea of what you should get. But yeah layers will take the bulk out of the bottom of your hair, also thining it out will help but I don't know about with your type of hair.

get layers that starts 2-3 inches from the bottom of your hair, it will look good and slimmer when its curly and layered. if not layered it will get really thick on the bottom... good luck.

I think honestly that with really curly hair a straight cut looks great. Wether its a U cut or a V cut as long as it doesn't have tons of layers it looks really good. Just really make it clear to the hair dresser that you don't want a short cut. Trust me, MAKE IT CLEAR. (SOME people don't understand) Good Luck : )

Well just get it cut up to shoulder length and then straighten it with a straightening iron or just go to a salon and relax your hair. Also try to use curly shampoo so it can de-frizz your hair so it'll look better if you straighten it.

Some of the best advice will come from you and your hairdresser working together. What I did was went out and bought one of those Hair Style magazines from like CVS and I showed my hair stylist all the ones I would like to have and as a professional she knew how to meet me in the middle because she knows what styles will not work.

omg i have the same hair as you when you got it short it wasn't layered an it poofed out mine does the same thing an right now i have shoulder length hair But mine is layered try an inch or 2 below your shoulder its not long but its not short but put some layers with it so it won't poof

It's really good advice to make sure you have a good reliable hairdresser, who listens to what you actually want to achieve with your hair.

However, from personal experience, I would say please don't get layers put in your hair - all it will do is make it pouf out at different points, so instead of it being big just at the ends it will stand out all over your head in an uncontrollable halo unless you use straighteners every day. To use hot irons on curly frizzy hair that often isn't good and weakens already-dry and fragile hair to the point it breaks.

I would get it cut shouler length. Get layers and long side bangs. If your hair is long enough do locks of love.
