How do I get my hair to be one even color since its 2 different colors?

I don't know what I was thinking, but a month or two ago, I bleached two big strips of my hair. It looked pretty nyce for maybe 3 weeks and then it grew out and got all messed up etc. etc. etc.

I wanted to get my natural hair color back which is a chocolate brown (right now its red with the 2 strips Dx )

But I'm afraid the strips where I bleached it won't be even with the rest of my hair. I know it wasn't a good idea dying it like that in the first place but lesson learned n' now I'm tryin to make it good again.

So basically, what should I do to get a nice even color?

Thank You!!

Dye it a chocolate brown. The parts of your hair that are already chocolate brown won't even take to the hair dye. The other parts especially the blond parts will take to the brown. Be sure to leave the dye in for long enough.

you'll have to go to a salon and get it fixed.

you could try coloring close to the color of your natural color and see what happens. or you could go to a hairdresser and just see what they say. maybe they can give you some advice as to what to do for the best results.

Dye the blond strips first with your chocolate brown coloring and let those sit for at least 15 minutes, but don't let it touch your scalp, just the blond. Then do the rest of your hair following the directions.

Or you could go to a hair professional to get it fixed.

die it with only one color

I would go to a hair dresser so that they can fix it and dye it. If you get a permanent hair color at the store it will dye your hair, but it will still be two different shades where you bleached it. Plus, in the sunlight you'll still see bright red undertones.

The best thing you can do is go to a hairdresser so that they can professionally strip it and fix it to you natural hair color. Good luck!

When you dye your hair you should apply more of the stuff to you bleached areas than the red areas. It should even out. I f you cant do it then you can go to a salon.

bleach it all and then dye it the origional color or the color you want it and the bleach should make it all the same color.

Either wait tell it grows out or die it back to you natural color. Then I think you will be fine.

get your ends clipped before breakege starts to happen and then just let your natural color come out. thats what im doing now. i had to learn that the hard way.

go to the salon. first, they have to dye the strips to the color of the rest of your hair, making sure it's all even. then, dye it whatever color you want. make sure you do this at a salon, not yourself because they specialize in this kind of stuff and you dont want to have to go through all that trouble again.

good luck

I'm sorry to say, but you CANNOT fix this on your own- do not even try, because you will probably end up making your hair worse.

What you need to do is go to a stylist at a salon (a real salon, not super cuts or fantastic sams!) They have a special technique where they can strip the color from your hair- it is called "color correction", when you dye it and it ends up looking funky, they can completely, or somewhat, put your hair back the way it was before.

Another thing the stylist can do, or may advise, is that she will take her hair color chart, match it to your roots (your natural color) and dye all your hair this color. So basically, she will dye it your natural color, and then you wait for it to grow out and eventually it will all be your color- natural.

Good luck!

ok my mom is a beautician.(she cuts hair)

she says "if u want to be al ur natural color buy that natural shade and watever u do dont use an ash tone on the bleached out part. but if u have red tones in the rest of ur hair u will need to buy an ash tone to counteract the red. in other words nutralize th red. but dont put it in the blonde. so basicaly u need two different colors to get urself back to one.

You could like bleach it chocolate brown and then take a shower with a lemon to even it out right after you bleached it.

From the professional with 10 years experience........go in and get it done!!! yes it may coast big bucks but it will cost even more to fix your mistakes!! "Quit your bitchin' you did it in the kitchen!"
